Overview:
Our client, an electromechanical contract manufacturer based in Perkasie, PA, is seeking to hire a QC Inspector to join their team. This role will involve conducting daily inspection and testing activities on the shop floor, which encompass precision assembly, calibration, test/inspection, and preparation of special parts.

Responsibilities: Inspects incoming material, in-process work, and finished products for conformance to specifications and standards.
Interprets and executes Test & Inspection guidelines per work order requirements.
Develops and documents (with Engineering guidance) Test & Inspection procedures for new products.
Coordinates in-house product test activities with Production to meet schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
Ensures quality records and related data transactions are accurately recorded.
Tracks and records labor hours and materials consumed in the execution of test & inspection activities.
Inspects tools, fixtures, test equipment, and measuring devices for quality and calibration status.
Collects and reports QC metric data to management as required.
Identifies and resolves (with management support) tooling or training deficiencies that may affect quality and safety.
Recommends (to Engineering) efficiency or reliability improvements to production methods and equipment.


Requirements: High school diploma and 2-year trade school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Prefer 3-5 years' experience as test technician or precision assembler.
Experience with calipers, micrometers, DMM, and oscilloscope highly desirable
Must be able to solder and crimp to IPC standards as well as inspect solder joints and wire crimps to standard.
Quality training in a Kaizen, ISO-9000, Six-Sigma or similar program is highly desirable.
